Stylist & Fashion Consultant
As a freelance stylist, trend forecaster and fashion consultant, Denis (Deni) Todorovic’s signature style makes fashion accessible and fun! Taking a passionate yet light hearted approach to the serious business of fashion, Deni is a fresh voice in the industry and loves nothing more than to inspire others.
With a natural eye for spotting the next big thing, Deni styles show-stopping red-carpet moments and trend driven editorials with equal aplomb. Playing on his witty sense of humour, Deni’s quirky Insta posts attract a whole lot of love – it’s clear no-one else can work a fabulous heel quite like Deni!
Growing up in a large Serbian family in Geelong, Deni was surrounded by fashion with 3 of his cousins as dressmakers- needless to say he knew his way around a sewing machine from a young age! Deni tailored his school studies around fashion before going to TAFE to study pattern making, material research and fashion design in a Clothing Design and Production course.
Deni then applied to the prestigious Paris Fashion Institute whereby he was selected as one of just 25 students from around the world to complete a Certificate in Fashion Design, learning from leading industry specialists in what is arguably the home of global fashion. A once in a lifetime opportunity that further ignited Deni’s drive to work in the industry.
On returning to Australia, Deni secured his first job as a Buyer’s Assistant at Myer, a fundamental learning curve in his career. Looking to broaden his professional experience, Deni then moved to London for two years where he spent the first year working in fashion PR before moving into fashion magazines where he interned with British Cosmopolitan, In Style and British Vogue. During his time in the UK Deni also worked for Burberry, Net-a-Porter as well as freelancing as a celebrity stylist, styling model and MTV host Laura Whitmore and 90210-star Jessica Lowndes.
After his 2-year stint in London, Deni further developed his blog Style by Deni, a creative platform he used to share video interviews and insights on the world of fashion. Travelling to New York, Paris and London to develop content for his blog, Deni featured interviews with industry royalty including Miroslava Duma, Kym Ellery, Toni Maticevski and Karl Lagerfeld as well as collaborating with brands including Colette Paris, Qantas and ASOS.
Deni now works as a magazine Style Editor by day while continuing to freelance as a celebrity stylist having worked with talent including Anna Heinrich, Delta Goodrem, Samantha Jade and SONY Music. With over 10 years of diverse experience across all facets of fashion, Deni has become a go-to in the industry and is adored by many for his innate ability to breakdown trends in a consumable, engaging way.
Deni consults with brands offering a 360-degree service that includes look book and collection styling, trend forecasting, social visuals creation as well as hosting in-store workshops. Combining international influences, unwavering passion and his flamboyant, fun-loving approach to fashion, Deni informs and inspires with contagious enthusiasm.
