The saying goes that if you do what you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life. For artist Sally Spratt, it has been a case of draw what you love – with her passion for illustration flourishing into a beautiful career.
Sally is the creative behind The Lust List, a collection of illustrations that has become as luxurious and aspirational as the products that inspired its beginnings. The Lust List began in 2013 as an Instagram account that Sally created to share lifelike drawings of things she coveted but couldn’t have, from glamourous shoes and must-have handbags to runway fashion, cult beauty products and sparkling jewels.
Almost instantly, Sally’s signature style and mesmerising illustrations resonated with thousands. As though creating her future with her drawings, Sally’s work soon caught the attention of some of the very brands she lusted after. Now, with over 130,000 followers, Sally has become one of Australia’s most in-demand illustrators and creative influencers.
Each post on The Lust List is a showcase of Sally’s unique ability to capture just about anything with rich detail, colour and a touch of playfulness. Featuring everything from outfit inspiration, location themed collections, food and drinks, dream seasonal wardrobes, florals, prints and even puppies, The Lust List is a water-coloured wonderland of fashion and lifestyle inspiration from around the world.
The Lust List has collaborated with countless clients across beauty, fashion, food & dining, events, tech and health & fitness including; Lady Jane, MIRVAC, Birkenhead Point, L’Occitane, Hallmark, HP Sprocket, Adobe, Activaal, Sparkling White Smile, The Daily Edited, Cosmax, La Mer, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Ultraceuticals, and Coach to name a few.
