From an apprenticeship with her dad, who ran his own salon, to building an empire on her effortlessly glamorous, voluminous hair, for almost twenty years, Suzy has made waves (pun intended) in ways only a true creative can.
When she started, Suzy says she immediately loved styling more than cutting and colouring. Creating statement-making styles became her passion, one she never expected to turn into a career. And once she found her niche, it wasn’t long before Suzy was booked out.
Fast-forward to today, Hair by Suzy has become more than just a name. It’s grown into a brand that’s synonymous with some of Australia’s most glamorous weddings and events. Suzy’s signature waves are recognisable for a reason. They’re bold, glamorous, and unmistakably Suzy.
It’s no surprise that over the years, other stylists have wanted in on Suzy’s hairstyling magic. She’s already hosted two sell-out masterclasses, drawing over 250 attendees each, and she also regularly conducts one-on-one sessions. As an educator, Suzy shares her technical wizardry and trusted product recommendations all while giving her students a newfound confidence with advanced skills not taught in regular hairdressing education.
While Suzy initially made her name in bridal hair, her creative vision has extended far beyond the I-dos. With a growing portfolio of editorial and content shoots, Suzy has become a coveted name in fashion and beauty spaces.
Suzy boasts an impressive roster of partnerships, including leading industry names such as Natalie Anne Haircare, GHD, and Alfaparf Milano Professional. Recently, Suzy collaborated on a shoot with beauty megastar Nabilla Vergara, and she regularly works alongside Doll Face by Yas to create scroll-stopping content.
While Suzy never planned on becoming a household name in the hair world, her rise in the industry was all about serendipity. She simply followed her passion, and success followed. From mastering bridal to creating her own unique style, Suzy has earned her place as Sydney’s go-to for bold, iconic hair.
