NATASSIA HALABI
Australian Actress, Screenwriter, Storyteller & Mother
Natassia Halabi is an actress and screenwriter set to star in Neighbours in 2025. A true multi-hyphenate creative, her work underscores her belief that storytelling has the power to create more empathy and connection in the world.
Natassia has an impressive list of credits, including a stint in NCIS: Los Angeles, where she starred as Mossad Agent Eliana Sapir opposite Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J. She’s also worked alongside Kaitlyn Dever in Netflix’s hot new mini-series Apple Cider Vinegar and recently appeared in Queensland Theatre Company’s The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race, earning glowing reviews for her portrayal of Rania Hamid.
Natassia also appeared alongside Ethan Hawke in Born To Be Blue, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Though her scene was cut from the final version, the bittersweet experience only furthered Natassia’s drive to keep acting and telling stories.
Born in Australia to a Lebanese-Syrian father and an Australian mother, Natassia grew up immersed in a blend of cultures. She credits her multicultural upbringing for teaching her how stories can bridge the gap between worlds, turning misunderstandings into connections.
Natassia excelled in high school, particularly in Drama, but the pursuit of a “proper” career led her to law school. Six months after becoming a lawyer, she realised the courtroom wasn’t quite the cinematic showdown she’d imagined. She walked away from corporate life and back to her true passion, performing and storytelling.
Boasting a dynamic range, Natassia has played roles in drama, thriller, and action, seamlessly moving between genres and mediums. Living and working in Hollywood for six years, Natassia knew she also wanted to pursue screenwriting. Unlike many who merely talk about it, Natassia threw herself into the craft, surrounding herself with writers in coworking spaces.
Natassia’s scripts have been finalists in top Hollywood screenwriting competitions, including the Tracking Board's Pilot Competition 2020 and Shore Scripts Pilot Competition 2020. These achievements have also led her to a role in the writers’ room for an upcoming ABC show, and she now has her own projects in development in Australia.
Natassia splits her time between North Bondi and the family farm in Daylesford with her husband, Tolga, and their young daughter, Ayla. Family is at the heart of everything Natassia does, whether she’s enjoying sunny beach days with water-baby Ayla or hosting a polo match on the farm with Tolga.
A born storyteller with a rare blend of intellect and artistry, discipline and emotion, Natassia Halabi brings authenticity and depth to her work. There’s no doubt that her story is only just beginning.
