Therese Lum is the Dessert Queen of Masterchef Australia 2021 and one of the newest faces to join The Ministry of Talent.

Therese is a chartered accountant and business analyst, but has always had a passion for flexing her creative muscles in the kitchen. With a mix of Burmese, Taiwanese and Chinese heritage, Therese is no stranger to creating a delicate balance of flavours that come with a kick, whether that’s for savoury delights or sweet treats. 

She has come to particularly love creating desserts over the years and finds joy in learning new techniques to make beautiful, complex and delicious creations.

Outside of cooking, Therese loves dining out with friends, coastal walks, strength training and indulging her creative side with pottery, painting and floristry.
